My best friend Emily

While I was home for Christmas my best friend from high school called me. Her name is Emily (Donoho) Lovelady. We went out to lunch and got caught up with our lives. I was so excited to hear from her!! We were always together in high school. Even when I went to college in Idaho Emily came out to visit me!! How awesome is that. We had lost touch for a while but I still thought about her often and wondered how she was doing. She is married now to Austin and she has a successful career in the Agriculture field. She also helps her hubbie run his own business. Oh how our lives change so fast!! Here are some pictures of us from high school and college because I forgot to take a picture when we went out to lunch. Thank you Emily for being such a great friend.

Cousins

These are three little cousins that were born this happy year. All a couple of months apart.
Cody Cleverley(Tara's), Hunter Duffin (mine), and Eden Nicolaysen (Shantae's)

Isn't this sooooo cute!! Hunter just kind of fell on Eden's shoulder it was adorable.

Oh the weather outside is frightful......

We went over to my in-laws for Christmas Eve Dinner, and the annual family talent show. Christmas Dinner was great and I think it was the funniest nativity and talent show we have had. Then we all left to go to our homes and we would return the next day to open presents on Christmas morning. Hunter woke us up at 6am that morning and right after we woke up the power went out. All of our heat sources rely on electricity so we were in trouble. We decided to pack up really quick and head over to the Duffin's. On our way we got stuck in a huge drift. We were stuck there for a couple of hours. Luckily Ray (my father-in-law) came to our rescue with the tractor and plowed our way to his house. We were snowed in for a couple of days. It was actually quite an adventure. Here are the pictures.

We could not see very far.

Ray in the tractor leading the way.

This is alot of snow!! See the kids house at the right of the picture.... Well I guess you can only see the roof :-)

I swear we did not make this with our hands. After Ray was done plowing the driveway we saw this funny shaped piece of snow. Surprisingly enough it looks just like the state of Idaho!! Isn't that great!

2 Month Checkup and Shots

Hunter weighs in at 11 1bs 13 oz and he is 24 3/4 in long. He has gained 4 lbs 3 oz since he was born and has grown 3 3/4 in. They said he is right where he needs to be. Hunter also had to get his shots yesterday. It broke my heart to see him cry like that. He only cried for a couple of minutes and he has been fine ever since. He is starting to smile more now. I can't wait for him to start giggling and laughing that will be so fun.

Here are some pictures of the snow and frost we woke up to this morning. Isn't it beautiful!!

New Hairdo

When I was pregnant I didn't want to dye my hair because they say it can affect the baby. Who knows if that is really true or not but I didn't want to risk it. So before I got pregnant I dyed my hair to my natural color. Now that I am not pregnant I wanted to go back blonde so my aunt dyed my hair and cut like 2 or 3 inches off. It was ok being a brunette but I am so glad I can be a blonde again.
