Cousins

These are three little cousins that were born this happy year. All a couple of months apart.
Cody Cleverley(Tara's), Hunter Duffin (mine), and Eden Nicolaysen (Shantae's)

Isn't this sooooo cute!! Hunter just kind of fell on Eden's shoulder it was adorable.

Oh the weather outside is frightful......

We went over to my in-laws for Christmas Eve Dinner, and the annual family talent show. Christmas Dinner was great and I think it was the funniest nativity and talent show we have had. Then we all left to go to our homes and we would return the next day to open presents on Christmas morning. Hunter woke us up at 6am that morning and right after we woke up the power went out. All of our heat sources rely on electricity so we were in trouble. We decided to pack up really quick and head over to the Duffin's. On our way we got stuck in a huge drift. We were stuck there for a couple of hours. Luckily Ray (my father-in-law) came to our rescue with the tractor and plowed our way to his house. We were snowed in for a couple of days. It was actually quite an adventure. Here are the pictures.

We could not see very far.

Ray in the tractor leading the way.

This is alot of snow!! See the kids house at the right of the picture.... Well I guess you can only see the roof :-)

I swear we did not make this with our hands. After Ray was done plowing the driveway we saw this funny shaped piece of snow. Surprisingly enough it looks just like the state of Idaho!! Isn't that great!

2 Month Checkup and Shots

Hunter weighs in at 11 1bs 13 oz and he is 24 3/4 in long. He has gained 4 lbs 3 oz since he was born and has grown 3 3/4 in. They said he is right where he needs to be. Hunter also had to get his shots yesterday. It broke my heart to see him cry like that. He only cried for a couple of minutes and he has been fine ever since. He is starting to smile more now. I can't wait for him to start giggling and laughing that will be so fun.

Here are some pictures of the snow and frost we woke up to this morning. Isn't it beautiful!!

New Hairdo

When I was pregnant I didn't want to dye my hair because they say it can affect the baby. Who knows if that is really true or not but I didn't want to risk it. So before I got pregnant I dyed my hair to my natural color. Now that I am not pregnant I wanted to go back blonde so my aunt dyed my hair and cut like 2 or 3 inches off. It was ok being a brunette but I am so glad I can be a blonde again.

Christmas Decorations

While I was gone to Illinois Philip put up our christmas tree. Grandma Duffin helped him put all the ornaments and lights on. I was so excited. It really put me in the Christmas mood. Then I put up more decorations around our mantle. It is not much but I sure love coming into this room and seeing all the festive decorations.

Trip to See Santa in Illinois

Hunter and I made a quick trip to Illinois so the rest of my family could see our cute little bundle of joy. They loved him!! I will have more pictures later. We did so much in so little time. We took a 5 generation picture which I will post soon. We went to alot of Christmas parties and Hunter even got to sit on Santa's lap. Hunter's picture with Santa was posted on the front page of the local newspaper because he was so cute.

The Swing...

So I got this swing from someone who was done having kids and in the process of Philip and I moving we kind of left it outside. oops :-) Well I was having trouble moving all my stuff in because Hunter wanted to be held so much. So I cleaned up the swing and brought it in to see if it would work. Well it didn't. I would go by it every 30 sec or so and give it a good push because Hunter loved it so much and I could get alot more done.

Then I decided I would buy a new one that ran automatically. In the process of looking I became very frustrated and just decided that I would buy a replacement part and fix this swing. Well when I was trying to find the product number water came trinkling out of the top part. So I broke all of it down and got out my hair dryer to dry the parts. I tightened some wires and put it back together. Guess what...IT WORKS!! That saved me alot of money. But it does sound like it is going to die sometimes. Hopefully it will last for a long time. Here is a video of the swing working. Hunter loves it!! Especially that mobile, he will cock his head back and just stare at those animals.

Thanksgiving 2008

Things I am Thankful for:
My wonderful Husband that treats me like a Queen.
My new baby boy that is healthy and the most precious thing I have ever seen.
My wonderful family on both sides. They do so much for us. We are truly grateful.
My Faith in Jesus Christ and the powerful change he has on our lives.
There are many many more things I could list.
We are so thankful for all our blessings.

This was Hunter's first Thanksgiving. We all went over to Philip's aunt Janie's house. It was so good!! I love Thanksgiving dinner!! Especially those yams!
Thanksgiving really made Hunter tired. Isn't he so cute. He is such a good baby!

Grammy's Visit, Mom's trip & Hunter's Blessing

Grammy is my grandma on my mom's side. She is the best. I am so glad that she was able to come out and see our precious baby boy!! She helped us move too. What a grandma!!
Then my mom came out for Hunter's blessing. She only got to be here for 2 days and wouldn't let Hunter out of her sight or arms :-) Hunter sure loves his grandma.

Hunter got blessed on November 9th by his daddy. Philip loves our son so much. He is an amazing dad. I still think it is weird that we are parents and I am calling him a dad. We love being parents, our little Hunter is our whole world.

This is Hunter's Blessing Outfit. It is so special because it is 45 years old. Why does that make it special you ask....it was his grandpa Waggoner's outfit (my dad) and his uncles (my brothers) Brock and Beau were blessed in this very outfit.

A note about the videos

The videos will play better if you press play and then pause so that the videos have time to load up. That way you don't have any interuptions when watching the video.
Here is a slideshow I put together of the pictures we have of the first few days of Hunter's life. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all enjoy our little Hunter. He is an absolute doll and we are so blessed to have him. We love him more than he can ever imagine.

Hunter is Born (The Hospital Footage)

This is the footage at the hospital. Don't worry it is all G rated, no delivery shown. :-)

Crafts with Aunt Breann

During General Conference Kate and I made some crafts for Halloween. I was so proud of her because she used scissors and cut around the lines.

Here is the Black Cat Hat.

Here is the witch necklace. Look how well Kate cut around the shapes.

PEDICURES FOR LABOR :-)

These are my toes. I have never had a pedicure

Sorry about my swollen feet, it comes with the

These are all of our toes :-)

Hunter is only a WEEK away!!

Well they just told me that I am being induced on Tuesday, October 7. I am so nervous. I hope all goes well. I am excited to know when it all will happen though that way I don't have to fret about every contraction wondering if it is time. (That is if Hunter doesn't come before Tuesday) I am also pretty excited because Brook and my Mom might be able to be there at the hospital. How cool is that?! Now I just have to get into our house by this weekend and all will be well.

I went for a ride with Philip.

Potato Harvest has been fun so far. It looks like everything is going well. It is just busy busy busy. Beauty loves harvest too. She is always over in the action. She is obviously tuckered out too.

Beauty resting after all her hard work. She loves playing fetch with potatoes!!
